Because she was magical. I am talking about the legendary Lata Mangeshkar Ji. She left us but as she said..'meri awaz hi pehchan hogi'...we are going to live with her songs and lovely voice forever.

Her smiling face on the van she was taken to the cremation center shows her nature of being down to earth even after being such a big celebrity, a living legend.
Be it any country of this world, Lata ji was famous for her mesmerizing voice and hence known as the 'Nightingale of India'. You need not to understand the lyrics if she is singing. Just feel the vibrations of her voice along with the beautiful composition she had been part of and sang.
She herself was a rendition of God.
Recalling few of her songs make me feel so small, because the work she did is way more larger than we can even thought of.

How can we forget her really beautiful voice in this song with tons of emotions. Remember, this year only 'Abide With Me' has been dropped from Beating Retreat Ceremony and the army band proudly played 'A Mere Watan Ke Logon'.
